Why did we choose St Brendan's ?
St. Brendan was an Irish monk and an exceptional seaman.
He was born in the year 484 of our era. It is said that after sailing for seven years in rough seas, he discovered a new land.
Although his ship was small and frail he went after his cause showing great courage and commitment in order to fulfill his dream: reaching his Land of Promise.
His perseverance and constant commitment together
with his determination to achieve his goal represent the
inspiration and shows the path to follow.
Mission
St Brendan?s School strives to significantly contribute
to the development of individuals who will enjoy and
become actively involved in their own learning process
set within respectful and caring environment. This is
achieved through the enthusiastic commitment of the
entire school community to implementation of an innovative,
integral, bilingual and non-denominational international
educational programme.
Vision
To be an educational community that forms people with
a solid national identity and deep intercultural awareness
who, as citizens of the world and in constant search for
improvement, can contribute towards a positive transformation
within themselves and in the society.
Founding Principles
The three principles which St. Brendan, ?The Voyager?, has passed on are those which the school is founded upon.
These are:
COURAGE, for his confidence and independence of
spirit as well as his fascination of the far away and of
the unknown.
COMMITMENT, for his responsibility towards his beliefs.
PERSEVERANCE, for his effort to make the most out of
the processes that led him to his Land of Promise.
St Brendan´s School is the result of the collaborative
efforts between parents, teachers, students and staff
who, aligned under the same objectives gave birth
to this project. Since then, all members of the school
community have a commitment to persevere so that
the vision becomes a reality.
